We're moving!

On May 1, 2008, LFS/Compass Capital Corporation will move to Riverwalk

It is with a great deal of pleasure that we are announcing the relocation of our office to Riverwalk at 360 Merrimack Street , Building 5, Lawrence , MA 01843, on May 1st.

As you are probably aware, my friend, and client, Sal Lupoli has created an incredible complex on the banks of the Merrimack River . The revitalization of the historic mill properties has spurred many prominent businesses to call Riverwalk their new home.

With neighbors such as the corporate office of the Merrimack Valley Credit Union, Home Health VNA, Pentucket Medical Associates, and, of course Salvatore’s Italian Restaurant, we will be in great company. Our new office is conveniently located right at the main entrance of Building 5 – the Elder Services building and there is ample parking.

Our firm continues to grow and to seek better ways to serve you, our valued clients. As the year progresses, we will be announcing even more exciting news. Our goal is to be the first choice for those who seek a trusted financial advisor.

Dear Friend of Compass Capital,

Warren Buffet the very respected chairman of Berkshire Hathaway was being interviewed and he had two comments that I want to pass along to you.
We are already in a recession.

If you are the kind of person who worries about the price of a stock on any particular day- you should not own them.
Attached is a SEI Commentary dated 2/22/08 which discusses recession and its effects on an investment portfolio that I thought you would find it of interest.

Putting Things in Perspective
The lesson of history is that it may be wise to ignore market volatility during difficult economic times, especially for investors with long-term financial goals. Consider that stocks tend to begin their recovery midway through a recession, and then strongly outperform bonds in the period immediately after the recession. If this pattern continues in future recessions, investors who sell stocks when the economy contracts may find that they are out of the market at exactly the time that the payoff to equity securities is greatest. Remaining disciplined can be tough during these trying times, but this is when it could be most important.
